Use the right cleanser for your skin.  Choose gentle herbal facial cleansers at least twice a day to remove impurities from your face.  Products with tea-tree oil are particularly beneficial for that acne-prone skin as this helps to reduce acne breakouts and slows acne development.  Do not over wash your face as this will only aggravate your acne problems because it actually irritates the skin more than it cleanses it.

If you’re using cosmetics, make sure to choose the right ones for your skin type.  Avoid oily cosmetics as these contribute to acne breakouts, especially in women.  Ingredients such as isopropyl palmitate, socetyl stearate, and sodium chloride should be avoided.  And when going to bed at night, make sure to rinse off the cosmetics from your face completely to make your skin breathe enough oxygen.
